Hunters Ridge

I still love you like those late nights

Back when our knees told a story.

Raising hell and dodging headlights,

Darin’ double just for the glory.

In the morning we’d count bug bites

And fetch balls from the tree.

I think you’re lonely just like me.

I think we ought to build a bridge.

I think we never got to see

Enough of Hunters Ridge.

I can’t remember your first schoolday

And to try just makes me sick,

But if we could find that old driveway

With the house all made of brick,

It might reteach us how to play,

And, well, that might do the trick.

I think you’re lonely just like me

I think we ought to build a bridge.

I think we never got to see

Enough of Hunters Ridge.
