Without You
Should the sun cease to shine
Else we part a single night
Then I shall walk each darkened day
By the gleam of your eye light.
Or would my home fall to ash
Should your kiss I embrace
Then from your lips I shall drink
Every raindrop upon my face.
Suppose every penny would fly away
If you sing another song.
What wealthy pauper I shall be
To live in your concert all lifelong
Or say all color be drained away
When your smile I next view.
How dazzling that gray world shall be,
Each shade an ode to you.
And if the instant I hold you tight
My heart be put to rest
Then in your arms I shall gladly die
To the music in your chest.
For without my darling love,
Her each and every bit,
The world loses all its magic
And leaves me empty as a pit.
Dedication: To my darling wife
